Score More Tutors is proud to offer private, in-home tutoring services to the students of the Hempfield Area School District.  At Score More Tutors, our tutors are highly qualified and trained to work with all students K-12 to reinforce classroom work, improve skill deficits and provide enrichment.  Score More Tutors will work individually with special needs students to provide additional instruction and repetition of skills.  We also work with honors and AP students, helping them maintain GPA and class rankings.  In addition, Score More Tutors offers private in-home SAT/ACT prep to improve test taking skills and strategies.  The SAT’s are offered at Hempfield Area High School at various times throughout the school year.  Please check the SAT website for specific dates.

Hempfield Area School District is the largest school district in Westmoreland County with over 49,000 residents and covering over 95 square miles.  The district is comprised on Hempfield Township, and the Boroughs of Adamsburg, Hunker, Manor, New Stanton and Youngwood.

The community has close access to 5 college campuses, Excela Health Care System, Westmoreland Mall, Twin Lakes Park and Lynch Field recreational center.

The Hempfield Area School District includes 5 elementary buildings (K-5).  The schools are:  Fort Allen Elementary School, Maxwell Elementary School, Stanwood Elementary School, West Hempfield Elementary School and West Point Elementary School.  The 2 middle schools (6-8) are Harrold Middle School and Wendover Middle School. And the high school (9-12) is Hempfield Area Senior High School.  The district also houses one alternative education program and an after-school alternative education program.  Included within the school district is the Central Westmoreland Career and Technology Center.

The district offers educational programs to approximately 6,600 students in grades K-12.  Programs at the high school include college preparatory, business preparatory, vocational preparatory and general course of study.  Approximately 66% of the junior and senior class participate in the SAT or ACT testing and nearly 70% Hempfield Area High School students attend a 4-year college program after graduation.  The district hires approximately 890 employees, of which 502 are administrators and teachers.

Hempfield participates in WPIAL athletic programs.  The community is proud to support the Hempfield Spartans and acknowledges their successes.
