Score More Tutors is proud to offer private, in-home tutoring services to the students of the Norwin School District.  At Score More Tutors, our tutors are highly qualified and trained to work with all students K-12 to reinforce classroom work, improve skill deficits and provide enrichment.  Score More Tutors will work individually with special needs students to provide additional instruction and repetition of skills.  We also work with honors and AP students, helping them maintain GPA and class rankings.  In addition, Score More Tutors offers private in-home SAT/ACT prep to improve test taking skills and strategies. In addition, Score More Tutors works with athletes at Norwin High School as they attempt to receive scholarships for their athletic and academic success.  The SAT’s are offered at Norwin High School at various times throughout the school year.  Please check the SAT website for specific dates.

The Norwin School District  includes the municipalities of North Huntingdon Township, Irwin Borough and North Irwin Borough.  The community covers 36 square miles and services approximately 30,000 residents.  The Norwin School District Mission Statement is:  Through quality educational experiences, the Norwin School District prepares students to become productive and responsible citizens in an ever-changing global society.

The Norwin School District school system consists of seven schools.  The 4 elementary schools (K-4) include:  Hahntown Elementary School, Sheridan Terrace Elementary School, Stewartsville Elementary School and Sunset Valley Elementary School.  The Intermediate School (grades 5-6) is Hillcrest Intermediate, servicing 850 students and over 60 faculty members.  Norwin Middle School services students in grades 7-8 and has an enrollment of 814 students and Norwin High School serves those students in grades 9-12.

The primary focus areas for the Norwin School District include:  doing what is best for students educationally and what is fiscally responsible for the taxpayers and to build capacity, accountability and efficiency in the public school system.  The district offers curriculum that is challenging and relevant as evidenced by the fact that student scores on the PSSA and SAT’s are above state averages.  Programs at the high school include college preparatory, business preparatory, vocational preparatory and general course of study.

Norwin  School District participates in WPIAL athletic programs.  The community is proud to support the Norwin Knights and their successes.
